The Executives up to and including the level of Manager
(E-4) scale Rs.14500-18700, both in Technical and Non-Technical
disciplines, who are called upon to perform duties beyond normal working
hours or on off days for four hours or more (in one spell only), in
connection with planned shut down as well as emergency break down in the
Unit, closing of accounts, Meetings with the Association / Union, Wage
negotiations, DPC meetings etc., will be eligible for one day's
compensatory off for such work. This facility is limited to 35/20 days
in a calendar year, in respect of those who are working on the technical
side in Units and non-technical side in Units / Offices,
respectively..
In the event such compensatory off is not allowed to be
availed due to exigencies of work, unused compensatory off can be
credited to earned Leave Account, limited to only 20/10 days, in a
calendar year, for Technical / Non technical Executives, respectively.
However, compensatory off so earned will be allowed to be availed,
within a period of six months.
In terms of the said policy, Executives could be
retained beyond normal duty hours / holidays, in the exigencies of work,
only with the prior approval of the Executive Director/ Chief General
Manager / General Manager at Units and Functional Heads at Corporate
Office / CMO.
The Asstt. Managers up to and including the scale of Rs. 10750-16750 (E-2) (including Asst. Manager (SG)
extended w.e.f. 1.7.97
The Asstt. Managers up to and including the scale of
Rs. 10750-16750 (E-2) (including Asst. Manager (SG) placed in the next
higher scale), working in rotating shift only, who are required to work
for full day on declared holidays or on off days will be eligible for
grant of one day's compensatory off. Such Asstt. Manager / Asstt.
Manager (SG) are also entitled to the grant of compensatory of when
their weekly off coincide with a declared holiday. Such compensatory off
should be availed and in any case, not later than by the end of the
calendar year, with the approval of the competent authority.
In order to have proper account of compensatory off so
earned by an individual, proper record in the concerned Department as
well as Time office, s required to be maintained for the above
situations, i.e./, Compensatory off in lieu of weekly off coinciding
with a declared holiday and for performance of duties on off / days /
holidays, applicable to Asstt. Manager / Asstt. Manager (SG); and
compensatory off for performing extra duties beyond office hours or on
off days applicable to all officers up to the level of Manager
(E-4).
